  • Description: ‘McCloud’ is a medium maturity market-type peanut with a prostrate runner growth habit.  This variety has shown good to excellent pod yields in Florida and other states, giving better pod yields than ‘Georgia Green’ in the Southeast.  Seed grades of ‘McCloud’ are good, and are larger in seed size than ‘Georgia Green’ and similar to Florida-07. McCloud exhibits moderate resistance to TSWV.  This peanut variety has high oleic oil chemistry, and has good flavor, blanching, and processing traits.
