Description:  ‘Gulfcrest’ is a 2004 release from the UF, UGA and the USDA-ARS joint breeding program.  It has an FDP of 62–75 days and has non-melting flesh with a clingstone pit.  Ripe ‘Gulfcrest’ fruit have 90–95% red color over deep yellow to orange ground color and ripen in early to mid-May in southern Georgia.  ‘Gulfcrest’ fruit can be variable in size on the tree and can produce “twiggy” branch growth.  ‘Gulfcrest’ is adapted to extreme northern Florida and southern Georgia.
