Description: ‘Juggernaut’ is a new winter oat variety that was co‐ developed by the University of Florida and Louisiana State University Agricultural Center and was released under the SUNGRAINS cooperative small grain breeding program among six southern universities ‘Juggernaut’ has considerable potential for forage, grain, and conservation tillage purposes in the southeastern U.S.

‘Juggernaut’ has excellent grain yield potential good test weight, and good early and late season forage production capacity. It has shown to have moderate maturity and excellent disease resistance, particularly resistance to a new race of crown rust that is prevalent in the southeast region of the United States. ‘Juggernaut’ has also demonstrated good lodging resistance. It has been observed to be uniform and stable from 2016 to present. ‘Juggernaut’ could serve well for forage, grain, cover, and wildlife food plot uses.
