Red Clover Variety
Description: ‘FL24D’ is a high-yielding cultivar selected for improved tolerance to the broad spectrum herbicide 2,4‐diclorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4‐D) by six cycles of traditional recurrent selection. Additionally, ‘FL24D’ is highly non‐dormant, being the earliest flowering red clover developed in the clover breeding program at the University of Florida and is earlier than any known red clover cultivars.
