Centipedegrass Variety
Description: ‘BA-417’ is a centipedegrass variety with a faster growth rate, and an expanded range of adaptation in comparison to other standard varieties. Like all centipedgrasses, ‘BA-417’ does very well on lower pH soils; however, it has shown to perform better than other cultivars when pH values increase closer to neutral. In cooler areas of centipedegrass use it will go off color sooner and enter dormancy prior to other cultivars. It is recommended for use in landscape settings and does well with reduced inputs.
