Bobolink™ ‘FL03-291’ also boasts large, high-quality berries.  The berries form in loose clusters on the plant, and require little force to detach the fruit from the plant.  The berries are sweet, even when first turning blue, and begin ripening mid-season (same as ‘Star’).  Testing conducted in Windsor, FL concluded a mean ripening date for half (50%) of the berries to be April 23 (mid to late April).  Berries averaged a weight of 2.75g (STDEV 0.16), and have potential for high yield.
