Frilly Philly 'UFM1' - (US Patent No. PP20,916)
Philodendron Cultivar

Frilly Philly™ ‘UFM1’ Heartleaf Philodendron exhibits small, lanceolate-shaped leaves, averaging 7.0 cm long by 1.5 cm wide. These leaves are distinctly smaller than a standard plant whose leaves average 12 cm in length and 8 cm in width. New leaves of this cultivar are held strongly upwards giving the plant a somewhat columnar form. One of the most distinguishing features of Frilly Philly™ ‘UFM1’ is its ability to produce vines with secondary lateral branching through maturity – a trait no other Heartleaf Philodendron displays. This cultivar has petioles up to 5.0 cm in length, contrasting the

vines that have short internodes averaging 1.0 cm to 1.2 cm. Leaves, petioles, and stems of Frilly Philly™ ‘UFM1’ are uniformly green.  Frilly Philly™ ‘UFM1’ is intended for commercial producers growing finished ornamental tropical foliage plants. This Heartleaf Philodendron thrives when grown with at least 10 to 15 cuttings per 10 cm pot.
